This striking sighthound collar is a bit wider than my usual, but if your dog has a long, elegant neck, this rich collar will be a great complement.
Red Mahogany Flat Martingale Collar (12 7/8")
Red mahogany "English" bridle leather flat martingale collar; False stitching along edges; 7/8" wide hand stitched pull tab; Solid brass
O-rings; 1 3/4" width tapering; 12 7/8" inner circumference
I hand sew with a traditional harness stitch method using needles, thread, and a diamond awl.
Because the flat martingale collar needs to slip over your dog's head, you need to measure the largest point BEFORE it slips onto and over the ears. Using a flexible tape measure is helpful. The measurement around the head will be the inner circumference or inner measurement of the collar. Be careful to avoid fingers under the measuring tape. Remember that it is easier to slide a collar over the head and onto the neck than to pull it off.
